The Founder´s Journal

Some things aren't for sale. That´s what we talk about.

What people set out to build, and what their business turns out to be able to carry, are often not the same thing.

At some point, every founder runs into a version of the same question: What does this business need to become, in order to support what I'm actually trying to build?

Some people set out to become entrepreneurs. Others become entrepreneurs because there's something they feel compelled to build, preserve, improve, or carry forward — and that changes everything.

For these founders, the business is the vehicle. Something else is the point.

The structural foundation needed for both is the same either way. The stakes rarely are.

The Founder Journal features people building something worth protecting — not only the success, but the decisions, trade-offs, and quiet turns in the road that got them there. The most valuable insight is rarely found in the outcome. It's found in the decision that came before it.

Five questions. One founder at a time.
